PRETTY LITTLE GIRL
Ever since my little E has grown into a toddler, my days have become waaaaay more interesting if not more challenging. For a start, she now needs even more coaxing with even the simplest of things, namely eating and dressing up. The dressing up part particularly has caused a few tensions - not because she's picky about her clothes (that happens too, occasionally), but because she ABSOLUTELY refuses to let me tidy up her hair! And with her bangs getting longer, this has become more and more of a struggle because: a.) I hate messy hair, and b.) the bangs just keep getting into her line of vision that it gives me pain just looking at it. Plus, I am quite particular when it comes to fashion and I DO so LOVE dressing up my children. So if you have a little girl and you quite care about dressing her up like me, you can imagine the pain of not being able to do up her daily appearance properly. And I'm not talking about getting her to be fancy everyday here. All I ask is that she clips those bangs out of the way. With the cute little bow I just bought her recently. Whatever.
And the other thing I started noticing about her recently is that she began to claim that she's a boy. And as I wondered where on Earth she got the idea, I eavesdropped on her playing together with my eldest and my niece, and for the obvious lack of boys (and most probably because she is the youngest), the older two have her as the designated prince. And I guess ever since then the 'boy' label is stuck in her mind...
...which doesn't help my mission on prettying up her hair.
